The spade auger is an ideal drain cable tool for dissolving soft pipe blockages. It reliably removes grease, oil, soap, shower gel or shampoo residues, detergents, fabric softeners and other greasy substances found in kitchens or bathrooms that tend to settle in the pipe. It is also very well suited for sludge in the pipe. Its shape is reminiscent of a spade or a shovel blade, which is why it is also called a shovel blade auger for larger diameters. Due to its specialization on soft substances it is also called grease remover.
The spade auger literally peels the tube free from the inside during rotation. The metal blade grips into the soft pipe blockages and rubs them down. The forward tapered shovel serves as a guide: the tip sits in the narrowest part of the pipe and guides the drill straight through the blockage. This is then gradually drilled out until the tool finally slides through. In order to achieve an ideal completion of the pipe cleaning, a chain knocker should be used to work through the pipe afterwards. In this way the pipe wall is completely clean again and the pipe is cleaned down to its nominal diameter. This prevents new deposits and blockages.
The blades of the ROWO spade auger are soldered to the receptacle. They therefore offer good durability and are suitable for all common household pipe blockages. The blades of the rak spade auger are hardened and therefore offer a longer durability. Furthermore, they are not cut flat at the side edges, but in steps. They can also be used for harder pipe blockages without rubbing off too quickly. The blades are not soldered into the holder, but drilled through and riveted to the holder. This connection also offers a longer service life under load.
The T-Nut coupling of the blade drills are of course 100% compatible with the systems of REMS, ROTHENBERGER, RIDGD and the KaRo Viktor and KaRo Fortis. Rely on ROKA Store for your purchase!
