Drain cleaning cable Ø 8mm, double wound, with claw & handle

The drain cleaning cable with 8mm diameter and fixed claw is a professional drain cable for drain cleaning in pipes from 50mm diameter. In contrast to simple "DIY store models", this drain cleaning cable has a counter-wound inner core, i.e. it consists of two counter-wound drain cables on top of each other. The stability is thus significantly increased. This means that even harder drain blockages in the home, i.e. in the kitchen, bathroom and WC, can be eliminated.

However, the significantly higher stability also means that the drain cleaning cable is less likely to go round bends than simpler drain cables. Never try to guide the spiral in the pipe with force, but always with light pressure while simultaneously turning the drain cable clockwise. If the drain cable should hook when pulled back, proceed in the same way and never tear with force! Instead, turn counterclockwise while pulling lightly. The drain cable will release and come out of the pipe. Sometimes a little back and forth is necessary.

In contrast to a crank, the handle offers the possibility of moving it variably on the drain cleaning cable and fixing it in the desired position. This has the great advantage that no unnecessary length of the spiral is looking out of the pipe and has to be distributed in the room or on the floor: if the drain blockage is located 3m deep in the pipe, with the length of the drain cable of 5m it does not have to be distributed and driven 2m outside the pipe. Instead, the handle is simply pushed to the desired position, fixed in place and the drain cable operated by hand.

The double wound drain cleaning cable is made of high quality galvanized spring steel wire (EN 10270-1). It is very stable and durable. The drain cable is available with 3m, 5m, 8m and 10m length. The claw at the front end is firmly fixed and not changeable.
