Product description

The rak-39 is a professional drain cleaning machine for tradespeople, sewer workers and drain cleaning contractors. The little sister of the rak-40 is designed specifically for working with 16mm cables. With the optional adapter drum it also runs smaller 10mm or 8mm cables with T-slot coupling or bulb head. The motor delivers 0.37kW / 0.5hp and provides ample power even for demanding jobs.

Like the other rak® machines, the rak-39 uses the external clamping jaw system that allows the jaws to be changed quickly. The design brings a further benefit: a continuous, one-piece hollow shaft inside the machine through which the cable is guided. Neither moisture nor dirt can travel along the rotating cable into the interior. Machines with an internal clamping system and open shaft work on a different principle; there the interior is not sealed off from the cable.

Thanks to this design, the rak-39 runs on permanently lubricated ball bearings that make later re-greasing unnecessary. The 0.5hp motor, built specifically for the rak-39, offers high starting and breakdown torque, which keeps the machine steady in operation. The shaft driving the cable turns at 750rpm, placing the rak-39® among the high-speed drain cleaning machines – an advantage in particular when working with chain knockers.

The drive lever on the longitudinal axis can be locked in place and then serves as a carrying handle, which makes the machine easier to move.

The rak-39 is used in pipes from 30 to 100mm with 16mm cables. The optional adapter drums with collets also allow 8mm and 10mm cables to be run, opening up smaller pipe diameters and tight runs with numerous bends.
