Connector for RIDGID FlexShaft shaft 8mm (spare part)

This connector joins our 8mm flexible shaft to a drain cleaning machine of the RIDGID K9-204 series. It is crimped onto the shaft with a hydraulic press or a hand crimping tool.

Many users retrofit their K9-204 with our flexible shafts, which is why we developed this connector. A complete shaft with the connector already crimped on is available as our flexible shaft 8mm x 20m with connection for RIDGID K204. This connector on its own is intended for users who need a replacement or a second one.

About the 8mm shaft

The 8mm shaft suits 75mm pipes well. In 100mm lines a thicker shaft delivers more torque – but where several bends have to be negotiated, the more flexible 8mm shaft often gets further than a heavier one.

Our 8mm shafts are made from spring-grade steel wire wound in opposing directions, so they transmit equal torque in both directions of rotation.

Why a spare connector makes sense

If the connector fails you do not have to replace the whole shaft: cut off the damaged section and crimp on a new connector. The same shaft can be reused several times this way.

With a spare connector in the van you can do that on site and carry on working instead of waiting several days for a delivery.
