Product description

This suction and pressure drain cleaner with handle removes light blockages in basins, toilets, kitchen sinks, showers and bathtubs. Place the pump over the drain, then fill the basin with water. Pulling the handle draws the water into the cylinder; pushing the lever forces it back through the pipe at high pressure, shifting blockages caused by hair, toilet paper, wet wipes and organic debris.

The advantage over an ordinary plunger lies in volume and pressure. This tool draws considerably more water than a conventional rubber bell, and the built-in cylinder lets it reach a higher pressure. The water shoots through the pipework and carries the blockage away with it.

This tool is made for light blockages. It will not shift limescale or hardened deposits on the pipe wall – those call for mechanical work with a powered drain cleaning machine and the right tooling. And if the drain stays blocked after several attempts, the cause often sits deeper in the run or is a solid object; a drain auger will get you further there, since it reaches the blockage mechanically.

How to use it

Place the pump centrally and flat over the drain so that it seals properly. Fill the basin, tub or toilet with enough water to cover the bell completely – without water there is no pressure. Hold any overflow closed while pumping, for example with a damp cloth, otherwise the pressure escapes there instead of going into the pipe. Then pull the handle steadily and push the lever through briskly. Repeat several times.
