Milling head for PVC and metal pipe, for 6mm to 12mm flexible shaft

This compact milling head is designed for clearing blockages in small-diameter pipes. It can be used on its own or together with a chain knocker that does not have its own drill head.

It helps when you meet a hard obstruction in a narrow pipe and the chain can no longer move forward.

Suitable for PVC and metal

Instead of carbide tips, the milling head has a wave-shaped cutting edge. It reduces the risk of damaging the pipe wall while still cutting effectively through tough blockages. This makes it suitable for PVC and metal pipes alike.

The angled recesses direct loosened material backwards, away from the cutting surface, as the head rotates, so the blockage can be removed quickly.

Use cases

The milling head is particularly useful in confined or hard-to-reach pipework where control and precision matter. It is light and easy to handle, yet strong enough for blockage removal.

Construction

The milling head is made from stainless steel to prevent oxidation and is secured to the flexible shaft with set screws.

Sizes

• 18mm: for 6mm shaft
• 30mm: for 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm shaft

Use

• Select the correct size for your shaft
• Secure the milling head with the set screws
• Insert it into the pipe
• Work at a controlled speed to break down the obstruction
• Do not force the tool through the blockage
• Withdraw periodically if needed to clear debris

The milling head fits machines with the corresponding shaft size, including the Picote Mini Miller and the RIDGID K9-102 and K9-204 FlexShaft® machines.
