Water dye for leakage detection

Color water red, orange, green, yellow or blue and mark the path of the water!

Water colorants are used to make the flow of water in pipes visible through the coloration. It is often important to understand the path of the water from its source (e.g. a sink) to its destination (sewer connection) and to check whether there is a leak along the way with unwanted leakage of water. The dye makes these leaks clearly visible. Thus, leaks in sewage pipes can be located, but also the leaking roofs, terrace drains, balcony drains, the causes of damp cellars, leaks in underground garages, etc.

All colours are very well visible to the eye. The green dye uranine is also fluorescent, i.e. it radiates when illuminated with UV light or infrared light and is then even more clearly visible.

1 teaspoon of the powder is enough to colour 10L of water. The dose can be reduced or increased for low or high coloration. The coloured water is non-toxic and harmless to humans and animals.

The water colouring agent offered here is biologically and chemically harmless. A contamination of the environment is excluded. Nevertheless, it should be checked whether authorities have to be informed before the use of colouring agents. When used to locate leaks in house pipes, it should be borne in mind that the dye seeping through can stain walls and ceilings.

Contact of the dye powder with the skin and eyes must be avoided by wearing protective gloves and goggles. If the powder gets into the eye, rinse thoroughly (15 min), in case of skin contact wash with water and soap. If the powder is swallowed, consult a doctor.

Please note that these colouring agents are not intended for colouring foodstuffs such as eggs or drinks and should not be used for this purpose. The disposal of the dye powder from the can must be done as chemical waste, the powder must not simply be dumped in the usual garbage!
